Leeds Festival

We, Festival Republic, took over the Reading festival in 1989, under the previous company name of Mean Fiddler. The world renowned rock festival numbers had dwindled to an all time low. So we re-vamped and rejuvinated the festival, adding structure and the most exciting line-up ever. The festival sold out and has continued to do many years over in record breaking time. In 1999, the festival extended to Leeds. The Reading Festival with a footfall of 100,000 and its Northern counterpart, Leeds Festival with a footfall of 80,000, continues to grow from strength to strength.
